Silicle

A dry fruit that splits along two sides or seams, but the seeds are borne on a central partition, which is exposed when the two halves of the fruit separate. Its width is less than three times as long as it is wide.

Ξηρός, διαρρηκτός καρπός με δύο καρπόφυλλα που διαρρηγνύεται κατά μήκος δύο ραφών, που έχει ένα παραμένον χώρισμα (μεμβρανώδες διάφραγμα) και το πλάτος του είναι ίσο ή μεγαλύτερο από το μήκος του, π.χ. Brassicaceae.
